How much do sessions cost?  

Our fees range between $100-$150 per session. Fees vary based on the experience and specialization of each counselor. You will be notified about your counselor’s fee prior to your appointment.  

Do you only counsel pastors?  

No. BetterDays Counseling serves a variety of clients with an array of needs. We have a diverse teams of counselors on staff. Not only do we have counselors with experience in vocational ministry and church leadership, we also have LPCs and LPC-Ss who various specialties and certifications. We offer services tailored to those in ministry and church leadership as well as general counseling services for individuals, couples, families, and teams.  

How many sessions will I need?  

Your counselor will work with you to determine the recommended numbers of session based on your particular situation.

Do you take insurance?  

BetterDays is a faith-based non-profit organization and does not accept insurance. Our year-round fundraising extends our services to as many people as possible. If you are unable to pay the full amount, a minimum fee can be discussed. Please contact us regarding financial assistance.

Can I see someone immediately?  

Your counselor will work with you and your schedule as much as possible. If at any time you are experiencing a health emergency, you should contact your primary care physician or dial 911. 

What is an LPC?  

A licensed professional counselor (LPC) is an individual who has satisfied all the state requirements for licensure (i.e., supervised counseling experience, and passing a state licensing exam). These individuals are called to abide by ethical standards deemed appropriate by state licensing boards. 

Are your counselors licensed?  

Not all BetterDays counselors are licensed professional counselors (LPC). Please explore each of our counselor’s bios to see which counselor is the best fit for you and your specific needs.    

How long do sessions last? 

Typically counseling sessions are 50-60 minutes. Sometimes counselors suggest longer sessions if they feel it will help progress. We also offer counseling intensives to individuals or couples tailored to the specific need.

What is your cancellation policy?  

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. It is our policy to charge a $50 cancellation fee for all no-show appointments or when an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
